BC snowstorm: Rainfall expected with concerns of flooding as work to restore power continues

Rainfall warnings are in place for the south coast of B.C. with moisture piling on the snow that fell this week. It's raising concern about flooding as the province continues to clean up from the latest winter storm.

Crews with BC Hydro are working to restore power with Surrey and Langley the worst affected — about 17,000 customers. n the Lower Mainland crews are out in full force to repair the damage. There is potential for more outages from freezing rain hitting the Fraser Valley.

Vancouver International Airport is working to restore operations after the winter conditions caused chaos. International flights resumed Friday morning. Those still stuck at the airport were offered refreshments and restaurant vouchers. Some people were given hotel stays.
