MPs suggest anti-ageism laws, incentives for firms to invest in older workers

During the debate on amendments to the Retirement and Re-employment Act, MPs suggested including re-employment contracts that recognise the full length of an employee's service. Some called for ways to encourage more firms to invest in their senior workers while others suggested that the minimum retirement age be abolished altogether.
