BSF jurisdiction extension: Move will safeguard our borders, says Captain Amarinder Singh

Hours after the Centre empowered the Border Security Force (BSF) to conduct searches, arrest suspects and make seizures up to an area of 50 km inside Indian territory from International Border (IB) along India-Pakistan and India-Bangladesh borders, Captain Amarinder Singh welcomed the move. The former Chief Minister of Punjab said that BSF’s enhanced presence and powers will only make the country stronger.
