Paul Murray slams 'garbage' freedoms for fully vaccinated in NSW

The NSW government has "let a lot of people down" with the freedoms announced for fully vaccinated people which amount to "effectively nothing," according to Sky News host Paul Murray.

From 12.01am on September 13, residents who live outside of local government areas (LGAs) of concern will be able to hold outdoor gatherings of up to five people, including children.

All adults must be fully vaccinated, be allowed in a person's LGA or within 5km from home.

In Sydney's COVID-hit LGAs, double-dosed families will be granted an hour of recreation on top of their hour of exercise.

According to Mr Murray, these freedoms are "garbage".

"They (NSW government) set an expectation, they built an expectation, and what they have delivered is effectively nothing," he said.

"Freedom ... what freedom?"
