Tribal Affairs Minister Babu Kavlekar has informed that Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India will come to Goa after Ganesh Chaturthi to examine if the Gauli- Dhangar community can be included in Scheduled Tribes.
It may be recalled that CM Sawant along with Kavlekar discussed the inclusion of the Gauli-Dhangar community in Goa among Scheduled Tribes (ST) with Shah and Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda.
