WHERE WE KEEP ALL QUOTES: https://LetsGoWarriors.com

QUOTES/NOTES/TOPICS:

ON IF HE FEELS THEY ARE FINALLY STARTING TO TURN THE CORNER WITH THEIR PLAY:

“I think we have a bunch of things to work on, but we are stabilized. We're starting to play our brand of basketball on both ends of the floor. Starting to get guys into a groove that we need in the groove in order for us to win at of high level. So I think we're starting to figure it out.”

ON WHEN THEY GET SCORING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ALL THEIR TOP SCORERS AT ONCE:

“It’s huge and it's great for us. I think, for an opposing defense when you have to pick your poison and you got four guys scoring like that, it's incredible now. With the style of defense they were playing, it was more just those guys creating which was huge. There are times when you're getting them involved with the pass, and then they're incredible players and incredible scorers so there are times when they can just get it going. Our role is to just set good screens and hold those screens and kind of put them one-on-one with the big. Tonight was one of those nights and it was great for us and it was good to see all of them get going at the same time.”

ON HIS RATIONALE FOR WHY THE WEST IS SO CLOSE THIS SEASON:

“I think there's a lot of parity in the West and think it's going like that because we struggled. In my opinion. I don't know. I just think there's a lot of parity. No one has really separated themselves yet, so we'll just have to see how it continues to play out. I think, over the course of this next month, you'll start to see separation created in my opinion. You're starting to see some teams going on the road and struggling a little bit more. So I think over the course of the next month or so you'll start to see it kind of play itself out. Some the way we expected and you'll see some that may go to opposite way than we expected.”

ON HIS ROLE WITH THE SECOND UNIT WHEN HE IS NOT PLAYING WITH STEPHEN CURRY:

“Definitely have to be aggressive when he is on the bench, but also I understand that I was inserted into that role to initiate offense to make sure that we're just not coming up with empty possessions and that's what I'm trying to do. We had Jordan who got it working in that unit, you see that working and you go back to them, and you kind of milk it. Then we start getting Wiggs (Andrew Wiggins) on a couple of post-ups. So I think it's just my role to figure out where we are - it's hard sometimes for a coach to get play calls within the flow of the game. I just kind of look at it like it is my role to initiate the offense and make sure that we're getting good possessions each time down.”

ON WHY HE THINKS THERE IS PARITY IN THE NBA RIGHT NOW:

“I think we’ve just seen so much movement. Half the teams in the league look totally different than they looked last year. We just played one of those that looks completely different than they looked last year. I think more teams are just figuring it out. You look around and Portland is a totally different team, Utah is a totally different team, and Sacramento is a totally different team. You move over to the East and Atlanta is a totally different team, Detroit keeps getting younger, and they're a different team and Indiana's a completely different team. When you look around a league, I think guys are really just figuring it out and it takes time. I just think it's due to the movement that we've seen in our league.”

ON THE YOUNG GUYS’ PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

“You see the final product…you can’t skip the process…the tough spot that they’re in (Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman)…those guys are usually on teams that suck and they can do whatever they want to improve…they’re expected to contribute at a championship level in…Year One-and-a-Half for James Wiseman…bad teams and they can grow through their mistakes…in the long run it’ll be better for (JK, Moses and James)…it’s all coming down on you (when the team is losing).”

NOTE: From postgame after Golden State Warriors win vs Utah Jazz. We will go live for the GSW-MIN game on Sun 11/27 at 12:00PM PST, which tips off at 12:30PM.
