Yvette D'Ath grilled for answers on RAT test kit availability

Queensland's Health Minister Yvette D'Ath says "it is not appropriate" to reveal what National Cabinet discussed on the availability of RAT test kits – at a time when the state is screaming for answers.

The Health Minister was grilled at a media conference on Tuesday on whether Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk pushed the Prime Minister hard at last week's National Cabinet meeting over federal funding for free rapid antigen test kits.

"I will not discuss publicly what happens in National Cabinet – it is not appropriate to talk about what happens in National Cabinet," Ms D'Ath said.

She maintained, however, that rapid antigen tests should be made free.

"I have already been on the public record saying that I think they should be heavily subsidised or made available free," she said.
