New South Wales has recorded its highest number of COVID cases in three months as the state's health minister warns infections could enter the tens of thousands in just a matter of weeks.
Officials declaring today that the Omicron variant is the driving force behind these new cases.
People are also being urged to come forward for a booster shot if they're eligible. As almost all COVID restrictions were eased across New South Wales today.
Masks are now only mandatory on public transport and on planes with QR codes also scrapped at most venues, except high risk settings.
