The race for Royal Malaysian Air Force’s contract of 18 Light Combat Aircraft is heating up. Though Malaysia has finalised six bidders for the tender, the contest is largely between Indian & Turkish jets. The tender was issued shortly after the Chinese Air Force’s incursions into Malaysian airspace earlier in the year. According to the Malaysian defence minister, the tender has been issued to replace the Hawk 108 and Hawk 208 fighter jets.
