Many Australians ‘hate’ the idea of a ‘massive influx of migrants'

Federal Liberal Party vice-president Teena McQueen says many Australians “hate” the idea of a “massive influx" of migrants.

It comes as a Resolve opinion poll revealed 58 per cent of Australians want migration to return at a level which is lower than it was before the pandemic.

“They do hate it … and that’s because they see a lot of unemployed Australians and a lot of Australians that don’t want to work, that are frankly lazy,” she told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“And they feel that if we bring in outside help those people are going to continue to be lazy.”
