Earlier this year iRacing finally updated the Ferrari 488 GT3 to the Evo 2020 version, so I thought I'd jump in at Watkins Glen this week and give it a try.

I've previously raced in the iRacing Ferrari GT3 Challenge Fixed series, but I'd only done single race at Interlagos earlier this season in the new to iRacing Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020. With Watkins Glen being a popular track on iRacing, I knew participation would be up, and this was my first time running the Watkins Glen Cup configuration.

Inspired by a Random Callsign's Twitch stream earlier this week I thought this combination looked a lot of fun. Quick to learn, but difficult to master the relatively simple layout of the Watkins Glen Cup circuit is a real test in the Ferrari 488 GT3. With only a handful of real braking zones, you have to tame the Prancing Horse and get your braking points perfect. After struggling in practice, I was able to get a 1:09:9xx in qualifying, and put me 4th in the grid for this Ferrari GT3 Challenge 15 minute sprint race.
