Black hole found 'lurking' in nearby galaxy's star cluster

The Very Large Telescope has been used to discover a black hole in star cluster NGC 1850, located "160.000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a neighbour galaxy of the Milky Way," according to the European Southern Observatory.
