As the last Holdens and Fords rolled off production lines in Australia a few short years ago, one of the saddest realities set in; no more Aussie muscle.

Over the years, Australia has been responsible for making some of the most incredible muscle cars, from the Ford Falcon XB series that starred in Mad Max to the more recent Holden Commodore SS. From the Holden v Ford rivalry stemmed the V8 Supercars series that attracted a global audience, and when the last locally made cars came out it was truly the end of an era. They didn’t go away before giving the world one last incredible muscle car, but strangely it wasn’t even a V8.
