Inexperienced real estate brokers continue to concern sector stakeholders, who are suggesting that majority are operating without minimum professional codes of ethics, resulting in increased cases of fraud, evictions, land grabbing and other forms of malpractice.
Robert Turyakira, the head of corporate affairs at the real estate institute of East Africa, is advising even in the absence of the law and the landlord-tenant bill, agents or brokers must be trained to meet industry standards.
