POLICE APPREHENDS NAGA COUPLE ALLEGED FOR DRUG SMUGGLING CASE

Karbi Anglong Police on Tuesday arrested a Naga couple in connection with a drug smuggling case. The police seized a huge quantity of heroin along the interstate Assam-Nagaland border in Karbi Anglong. Police carried out a raid in the Janakpukhuri area adjacent to Nagaland border and recovered 80 soap cases containing 1.05 kilogram heroin worth approximately 7 crore in the international black market. The arrested person has been identified as 27 year old Besii Mao and his wife Kaiha Mao, both residents of Dimapur
