Historian: Marcos children can't escape father's legacy so they try to cleanse people's memory | ANC

Rundown: A Filipino historian believes that one of the reasons why fake news surrounding the martial law years persists is because the Marcoses themselves have been able to stay in power. Xiao Chua of the De La Salle University points out that some people do not remember the atrocities of the time as incidents of abuse were censored, which the Marcoses and other political dynasties bank on. He hopes today's anniversary can serve as a reminder to the public amid talk Ferdinand Marcos' son, Bongbong, will again seek a national position in 2022.
