Many words came to mind when rescuers at Stray Hearts Animal Rescue laid eyes on this beautiful, young girl with a completely degloved tail. But, one word, in particular, was ‘Mercy’ because she was at the mercy of whoever or whatever performed this horrible act of violence on her.
Mercy was discovered late at night suffering from one of the worst tail injuries rescuers had ever seen. They immediately scooped her up and rushed her home in an effort to keep her comfortable with lots of antibiotics and pain meds before her vet appointment in the morning.
This poor girl will likely need to have her tail amputated as it looks to be beyond repair. But the most important thing is that Mercy is safe and sound with rescuers where she is getting all the TLC she can get. Her road to recovery will certainly be a long and hefty one, so if you are able to donate to her care it would mean the world. Anything and everything helps. Thank you for your generosity!
