Recently, BGMI pro @Ghatak Gaming made a post on Instagram stories saying that “@BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA paid tournaments are not allowed, please do not conduct them.” He also added that tournament organizers should take it seriously.
@GAMETUBE INDIA questioned about some platforms which host a similar kind of tournament and @Ghatak Gaming stated that they are taken down as well.
Tournament organizers hosting scrimmages and practice matches was a common sight in all the tiers of competition but some of the events hosted requires a participation fee. Other monetary prizes are also fixed for such kind of events and this is apparently not encouraged by the developers.
@Ghatak Gaming revealed that BGIS is getting delayed because of an upcoming BGMI update about hackers. Hackers have become a menace in the Battle Royale game, and Krafton will take severe precautions to ensure that players do not face hackers during the competition.
He also stated that invited players would only have two chances to secure their journey ahead in BGIS, so it is of utmost importance not to face hackers. Genuinely talented players will suffer otherwise.
