US Forces Secure Evacuation At Kabul Airport - Warning Shots Fired

Several video clips that show the US military securing the evacuation at Kabul airport surfaced online. The situation at the ground is chaotic and numerous warning shots by US troops and Afghan security personell had to be fired in order to ensure a best possible outcome of the current situation.

The footage shows US troops from the army and marines arriving at the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) with the support of armored mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles and AH-64 Apache helicopters.

Soldiers and marines took position arround the airport in an effort to keep a scared Afghan crowd from entering the airport after a mob of people had blocked the runway before in hope they could grab a seat in one of the evacuation flights outside the country.

Also the video shows the US forces firing warning shots in the air to ensure the safety of the operation.

The evacuation operation is led by the US famous 82nd Airborne Division with support of the US armies 10th Mountain Division, US marines and soldiers from several other countries including Great Britain, Germany, Spain and France.
