Neeraj Chopra, whose world ranking is No. 2 and brought gold medal in South Asian Games 2016, was the first Indian to bring gold medal in javelin throw in Commonwealth Games 2018 and won the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics by throwing 87.58 meters. The personal record is 8807 meters. In the International World Men's Category, the length of the spear is 2.6 to 2.7 meters and its weight is 800 grams.
