Residents of the Petit Palace hotel in central Barcelona were evacuated following a powerful explosion on Monday.
Police and firefighters were deployed around the building, which has been cordoned off.
No serious injuries or structural damage were reported following the incident which is thought to have been cause by improper use of pyrotechnics.
