The facts are beyond dispute.
Trust in:
*the business community
*established ethical institutions
*politicians and the government
are all at an all-time low. And it may well be that we haven't hit rock bottom. This crisis of trust is what is driving the Silent Revolution, causing long-term faith institutions to lose members in droves. And it feeds into the Secret Plague of alienation, caused by the disintegration of the human connection that those institutions can build.
How can we, as a society, commit to each other without trust? And if those who guided our moral thinking for so long are no longer there, where can we turn?
