Sky News host Chris Kenny says it is a “sobering fact” that many children in education will “never recover” from the disruption to their schooling as a result of lockdowns.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian today announced a four-week lockdown extension, as well as three more local government areas being handed harsher restrictions.
According to Mr Kenny, this is “devastating” for millions of people.
“This is going to increase the hardship for so many, think of the educations being ruined for starters,” he said.
“It is a sobering fact that some kids will simply never recover from this disruption to their schooling over the past year, yet we're about to blow away this school term too.”
