Early Color Photographs of Antarctica by Frank Hurley (1914 - 1917)

A collection of 26 early color photographs made during the famous 1914 - 1917 Imperial Trans-Antarctic expedition. These color photographs, made by photographer Frank Hurley using the "Paget" process, were part of the photographs he chose to save in 1915 when the Endurance was sinking in the Antarctic ice.
