Deputy President William Ruto has sensationally claimed that he doesn't mind being guarded by any type of security teams including those of G4S. He termed the matter as being of least importance to the country. He was speaking after attending a church service at St Augustine Catholic Church Bahati, Nakuru County, and the Deputy President said he had no problem being guarded by the Administration Police SBT Unit.
It was noted that some of the recalled GSU officers were reassigned to the President’s team and were therefore required to exit DP’s residence by evening as APs take over the security Mandate
Ruto made the statement after the recent reshuffle of his security detail, Ruto also urged those in charge of shuffling the security detail that they should focus more on issues affecting the country.
‘’Ikipatikana kazi ya muhimu ya wakenya ambao wana matatizo wanaweza leta ata G4S wanilinde na kunisaidia hamna shida Ruto said.
This comes days after his security detail was reshuffled and a number of security officers, most of whom GSUs posted to all Deputy Presidents premises were recalled and replaced by Aps.
