Army officer killed in encounter in J&K's Rajouri; terrorist neutralized

A terrorist was neutralised in an encounter with security forces in Jammu ad K’s Rajouri on August 19. A Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army was also killed in the fierce gun battle. Security forces launched a search operation in Thanamandi belt following inputs. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire following which the forces retaliated. A JCO of the Rashtriya Rifles had suffered bullet injuries in the encounter. He was taken to the nearest medical facility but succumbed to the injuries. This is the 2nd encounter between terrorists & security forces in August this year. On Aug 6, two Lashkar terrorists were killed in an encounter in the same area. Watch the full video for more.
