This is the moment a three-year-old girl was run over by a speeding bike as she stepped out of her house in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The accident happened at Dhobi Ghat area on Wednesday afternoon when Palak Sharma came out of her house and was trying to cross over to the other side of the road where her grandmother was lying on a cot.
The speeding bike hit the girl who got entangled in the wheels momentarily. As the bike ran over her body and legs, the biker fled the scene fearing a backlash from people.
However, the entire act was caught on a CCTV camera installed out the girl's house. The biker in question has been identified as Govind Sharma and a case has been filed against him.
According to Palak's family, the girl didn't incur any serious injuries in the accident. "For one moment, I thought we lost Palak forever. But when emerged from under the wheels of the bike, I knew that God was kind to us. Had something happen to her, I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself as the girl was crossing the road to come to me," said her grandmother Sarita Devi.
